Anyone remember ELDRAS? His posts would always start with: “From ELDRAS:”–as if it meant something, as if the poster was only posting on behalf of Lord ELDRAS, or some collective or something. (My notion of “Lord ELDRAS” may have been unconsciously inspired by Lord EMAP.) The content of his posts was always mediocre, in my opinion, and so was his English. But at least we would have been indulged in a message from ELDRAS…
