The term ‘evil’ implied ‘threat’ and it is necessary to invoke a corresponding response to get rid of the identified threats.
‘Stupidity’ will merely invoke scorn, avoidance and no pro-active solutions.
In my view, stupidity is almost always an inherent threat.
Evil, in contrast, would be more like the deliberate, malicious intention and desire/enjoyment of causing harm to others, or harm for its own sake. Pathological or psychotic enjoyment of inflicting pain and suffering, or the sociopathic indifference to doing so. Of course the degree and type of harm, and any means and ends involved, must factor into whether or not such actions are “evil”.
